3 Oz BIG BLABBERMOUTH Popper Lure Kits

6.5" long and 3 Oz finished size, heavy duty stainless steel thru-wired!
All kits are sanded out to 150 grit and require minimal if any sanding.
All components are included except for split rings and hooks which we recommend 4/0 treble hooks for the belly and tail of this lure.
We use only USA made components in our kits!

Note these lures no longer use a belly grommet that may be seen in earlier pics here on the site. The original finished lures have never had a belly grommet and have not seen a durability issue with these as originally intended. 

Very simple twitching action on this lure, excellent kit for starting out, and VERY good for use with kids!
These kits are all turned on our dedicated kit cnc machine and drilled with precision and duplication second to none!

Can be painted with Salty's® Lure Paint, Createx Air brush paints, or with acrylic paints and a small brush from AC Moore,
let them dry thoroughly and coat with a few coats of clear spray paint or brush with epoxy etc in thin coats for more durability.
Lures need to be finish sealed to prevent water intrusion. More information on our free lure forum linked above.

These poppers are very buoyant and work well around breechways and jetties from the surf or in a boat.
They have been used worldwide on many fish including Stripers, Bluefish, Giant Trevally, Ulua, and more.

"I bought a couple FatHead popper kits from you earlier this year, finished them and used them in the surf on the cape during the summer and early fall and then along the south coast of Rhode Island from mid fall to a couple weeks ago.


Although my lure finishing skills were not the best it didn’t seem to bother the fish. The poppers cast great, have good action and most importantly to me float at rest which is why I looked at your product. Most of the new plastic stuff sinks and has to be worked too fast to keep the plug on the surface. Not the way I’ve had success over the past 40 years striper fishing.
On the surface where you can manipulate the action of the plug by the tip action of the rod has worked for me. Your lures do just that. A very good product."
